Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director) has announced a two-week extension to the first production of the 2005-2006 season, Terrence McNally's new play Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street). The limited engagement was to end September 18, 2005 and will now play through Sunday afternoon, October 2, 2005.  Performances began Tuesday, July 26, 2005 with the official opening August 18, 2005.  Directed by Michael Morris (Slag Heap), the cast features Michael Countryman (Night Must Fall), Alison Fraser (March of the Falsettos, The Secret Garden), Nathan Lane (The Lisbon Traviata, Love! Valour! Compassion!, The Producers), Darren Pettie (Unwrap Your Candy, Measure for Measure), R.E. Rodgers ("Oz"), Marian Seldes (The Play About the Baby, Three Tall Women) and Miriam Shor (Hedwig & the Angry Inch).

The newest play from the Tony Award-winning author of The Stendhal Syndrome (which received its world premiere at Primary Stages), Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune, Master Class, Love! Valour! Compassion!, Lips Together, Teeth Apart and The Lisbon Traviata, concerns a life-changing encounter between Lou and Jessie Nuncle, the producers of a struggling children¹s theatre, and Annabelle Willard, the owner of an abandoned grand theatre the Nuncle¹s covet.

Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams has scenic design by Narelle Sissons, costume design by Laura Crow, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and sound by Lindsay Jones.  The Production Stage Manager is Emily N. Wells.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE  THROUGH SEPTEMBER 3:

Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams plays the following schedule through September 3: Tuesdays at 7PM, Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8PM, Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2PM. Beginning September 6 the performance schedule will change to: Tuesdays at 7PM, Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8PM, Saturday matinees at 2PM and Sunday matinees at 3PM.  There is a special added matinee performance Wednesday, September 14 at 2PM.  The limited engagement continues through Sunday afternoon, October 2, 2005.  Opening Night was Thursday, August 18, 2005.  Now on sale, single tickets are $60 and may be purchased at the Primary Stages/ 59E59 Theaters box office, through Ticket Central online at www.ticketcentral.com or by calling (212) 279-4200.  For further information about Primary Stages, please visit our website at www.primarystages.com or call 212-840-9705.
