Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man, the hit comedy written by Matt Murphy, based on the best-selling book by Dan Anderson and Maggie Berman, is about to get even sexier. Broadway's favorite UNDIE-wearing duo The Skivvies - Lauren Molina (Sweeney Todd, Rock of Ages) & Nick Cearley (Pageant, All Shook Up 1st Nat'l Tour) - will join the cast as Robyn (the "straight woman") and Dan (the "gay man") for 3 weeks only this summer.

Each show will be followed by a signature Skivvies performance featuring a special scantily clad guest star. Molina and Cearley will begin stripping down at The 777 Theatre (777 Eighth Avenue, between 47th and 48th Streets) on July 16 and play through July 30.

Called "smart, sophisticated...ingenious" by the Wall Street Journal and "a shot of pure joy" by Perez Hilton, The Skivvies are singer/actor/musicians performing stripped down arrangements of eclectic covers and eccentric originals. And of course, the songs are not the only things stripped down, Molina and Cearley perform their sets in their undies. Lauren Molina starred as Johanna in John Doyle's Sweeney Todd on Broadway, for which she drew raves from critics and audiences alike, and originated the role of Regina in Rock of Ages. Other credits include Cunengonde in Candide at the Goodman Theatre, Shakespeare Theatre in DC and Huntington Theatre, which landed her a Helen Hayes Award for Best Actress; Marry Me A Little at the Clurman Theatre Off-Broadway; and The Ladies Who Sing Sondheim concert with Barbara Cook and Patti LuPone at the Westport Playhouse. Nick Cearley has performed at theaters across the country including Williamstown Theatre Festival, Bay Street Theatre, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, Huntington Theater Company, and Bucks Country Playhouse and in the First National Tour of All Shook Up. He recently starred Off-Broadway in Pageant the Musical.

"The Skivvies are thrilled to be joining the hilarious show Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man," said Molina & Cearley. "We can't wait to flaunt our tips Off-Broadway!"

Now in its third smash year Off-Broadway, Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man takes the audience on a hilarious and wild ride where no topic is taboo and the insider 'tips' come straight from the source: a gay man. Directed by Tim Drucker, Sex Tips began performances on January 22, 2014 and opened on February 9, 2014. Sex Tips launched its wildly successful national tour last year with several sold out runs at performing arts centers in Des Moines, IA, Tampa, FL, and Buffalo, NY among others. For the 2016/2017 season, the touring company will set out for more than 18 weeks across several states including Colorado, Florida, Texas, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Arkansas.

Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man, written by Dan Anderson and Maggie Berman and published in 1997, championed the straight girl/gay guy friendship in mainstream pop culture and instantly became a national best-seller. The book was praised by the New York Daily News for "offering witty-and yes, explicit-descriptions of all manner of how-to's;" by The New York Post as "straightforward and saucy . . . a play-by-play account of how to make the most of every moment;" and by Salon.com as "a cannily entertaining romp through the nuts and bolts of sex from the male perspective." Now a cult classic, the book has also been published in Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, the Netherlands, Australia, England, and France.

The play has received the same adulation from the media with TheaterMania touting "SEX TIPS is one of the best date-night shows you'll see this year. Breathlessly entertaining! Uproariously funny! Hysterically titillating!" and Michael Musto for OUT Magazine giving the show, "Two wet thumbs up!" Broadway World calls the show "a night of fun and exhausting laughter that makes you feel good in all the wrong places" and the academics from Columbia Spectator call it "hysterical and better than sex!"

Presented by Matt Murphy and Shawn Nightingale, Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man has scenic design by Luke Cantarella, costume design by Tilly Grimes, lighting design by Brian Tovar, and video and sound design by Randy Blair.
