The Secret Theatre Announces Upcoming Season Events

The Secret Theatre has announced its new season of children's musicals! The new season opens with PIRATE PETE'S PARROT and will alternate every Saturday with DOTTY DOT! beginning September 8th. All shows are at 2:00 pm. For tickets or more information, visit www.secrettheatre.com.

Climb on board and get ready for adventure in The Secret Theatre's new children's musical, PIRATE PETE'S PARROT. In the tradition of the wildly popular English pantomime shows (first produced in the 1700's and still popular today), PIRATE PETE'S PARROT promises music, mischief, and a boatload of laughs for both children and adults. The play revolves around Pirate Pete, a lovable rogue on a mission to find his beloved runaway parrot, Polly (who prefers pancakes to boring old birdseed). Upon setting out, Pete decides it can't hurt to pick up some buried treasure as well, to help make the month's rent. Armed with an endearing crew of misfits like Jolly Roger (the insufferably happy second mate) and Miroslav, the Czech mate (get it?), Pete embarks on a journey complete with songs, sword fights, and plenty of audience interaction. DOTTY DOT! depicts a day in the life of a very bossy little girl and her gang of quirky friends as they adventure to put on a play (which Dotty will OBVIOUSLY direct)! However, when Dotty gets too bossy and her mother forces her to come inside, will the neighborhood kids be able to work together to save the show? As Dotty learns the true meaning of friendship, kids young and old will celebrate this hilarious new musical. Filled with memorable songs, colorful characters and valuable lessons, DOTTY DOT! is a surefire delight for all ages!
