NYC's The Private Theatre is going old school with their benefit celebration, The Private Prom, offering guests the opportunity to relive the magic or just get it right this time. The benefit will take place on Friday, May 17 (8PM - 12:30AM) at Metro Baptist Church (410 West 40th Street), with a VIP cocktail reception from 7-8PM champagne. Tickets prices range from $30 - $85 (but there will be a limited number of discount tickets ranging from $25 - $80 while supplies last.) All tickets can be purchased by visiting www.theprivatetheatre.org.

Continuing The Private tradition of blurring the lines between party and theatrical event, guests are invited to choose the finest formal wear from your closet, to put on your dancing shoes, and to join in on the celebration of the warm weather. Guests should expect a prom court contest and other prom-centric activities and surprises, including prizes!

"IN PRIVATE" confessional - visit The Private Theatre on Facebook or on Twitter (@PrivateTheatre) and tell us your prom adventures and misadventures, send us your prom photos, and help create our prom playlist! On Twitter, use the hashtag #PrivateProm to join in on and track the fun.
The Private Theatre is a not-for-profit collective committed to celebrating the private experience on the public stage, challenging the way audiences experience theatre. We forge theatrical collaborations across various cultures, aesthetics and disciplines in order to embrace the artistic impulse wherever we find it. The Private Theatre endeavors to stage raw, intimate and evocative productions of both new and classical work that explore the human condition and illuminate the thoughts most often left unspoken
