Radhika Jalumuri, a Silicon Valley engineer/international mergers & acquisitions strategist with a passion for fashion and custom-tailored clothing, has officially launched RAUES.com.

As a college student, Jalumuri was a fashionista in every sense of the word. She had over 300 custom-tailored outfits at any given time hanging in her walk-in closets and had over 1000 custom outfits upon graduation. Her classmates would wager predictions among themselves as to when/if she would repeat the same outfit twice.

But after a decade working for Silicon Valley tech companies and consulting with some of the top 5 companies, marriage and motherhood, Jalumuri opted to give birth to her entrepreneurial dream of a fashionable, made-to-measure, high quality yet affordable women's clothing site offering exceptional customer service.

The company's name, RAUES, is derived from the first two letters of Founder Jalumuri's first name, Radhika, followed by the website's commitment that with custom tailoring, the garments sold are uniquely everyone's size/style.

"Most of the clothing today is made to fit people with predefined sizes determined by the industry," said Jalumuri. "RAUES has innovated the way that women shop for clothes. All of our garments are custom-tailored up to a woman's 25 individualized measurements." Jalumuri estimates the measuring process to take anywhere between 10 to 15 minutes and suggests enlisting a friend or family member to assist with the hard to reach places. There is also an illustrated "How Do I Measure Myself" guide online -- www.raues.com/pages/how-do-i-measure-myself."

A RAUES dress, blouse or skirt conveys personal style as customers can choose among 15 different necklines and nine different sleeve designs -- www.raues.com/pages/design-options -- desired length (mini, midi or maxi) and fit type (slim, relaxed or tailored). Retail prices for a custom dress, blouse or skirt start at $49.99 (USD. Turnaround from purchase to home is four to six weeks. International shipping is free with a purchase of $200 (USD) or more. Free returns are given (yes, even on custom-tailored clothes!) within 30 days of merchandise receipt. Clothes can be returned in U.S. UK, and Australia (locally and for any other countries, they can be returned to US address).

"I travel the world to locate the best fabrics for my customers -- sumptuous silks, satins, cottons, velvets and all the trimmings," said Jalumuri. "With my team of accomplished designers and seasoned tailors, we evaluate our customer profile (lifestyle, skills, taste) and take into account current fashion trends. Our dresses, skirts, blouses and sweaters -- with slacks to come -- are designed to be figure-flattering, bringing out the best features of a woman's physique. Creativity, analytical thinking, capacity for detail, problem solving, research skills, project management, data analysis, logical thinking and teamwork" are all characteristics of a successful engineer ... and these skills easily transfer over to my current role as the Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Visionary Officer of RAUES.com."
