For over 35 years, Alec Baldwin has enthralled television audiences. From his early days on The Doctors and Knots Landing to his Emmy Award-winning role as Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock, as well as his appearances on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, for which he not only holds the hosting record at 17, but was just awarded another Emmy Award for his hilarious performances, Mr. Baldwin has achieved his place as one of television's most beloved and accomplished actors.
On November 2, 2017, The Paley Center for Media will pay tribute to his illustrious career at A Paley Honors Luncheon Celebrating Alec Baldwin.
In a discussion moderated by Steve Higgins of THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH Jimmy Fallon and followed by a seated luncheon, the Paley Center will explore Mr. Baldwin's versatile television roles, as well as his work on radio including host of WNYC's Here's the Thing and as radio host for the New York Philharmonic. The luncheon supports the Paley Center's many educational initiatives, including enriching classes for K-12 students that enhance media literacy and classroom learning, workshops that excite high students about STEM learning and careers in media, and year-round panel discussions and screenings.
"It means so much to be honored by the Paley Center," said Mr. Baldwin. "Television and radio have been such an important part of my career, and I'm so proud to support the organization in its mission to educate audiences on the cultural, creative, and social significance of these media."
"It's truly a privilege to host this intimate celebration of Mr. Baldwin's incredible career," said Maureen J. Reidy, the Paley Center's President & CEO. "The support of Mr. Baldwin and all in attendance ensures that visitors to the Paley Center will continue to enjoy the benefits of our educational and acclaimed programming."
