The Neo-Futurists take game night to a whole new level with their fall fundraiser The Neocade, plus two video game themed performances of Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind. All activities take place at The Neo-Futurarium, 5153 N. Ashland. For tickets or information, visit www.neofuturists.org or call 773-275-5255.

THE NEOCADE

Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 7:00-10:00 p.m.

Tickets: $40 general admission at www.neofuturists.org

$75 VIP (includes 5 prepaid Play-with-a-Neo-Oculus-Rift raffle tickets, secret gaming codes and a custom screened Neocade t-shirt)

The Neo-Futurists partner with Video Game Art Gallery (videogameartgallery.com) and Bit Bash (bitbashchicago.com) to host a night of gaming art and local indie games. Join the company to celebrate and raise funds for programming while enjoying innovative video games (including an Oculus Rift at the cutting edge of virtual reality), pizza, libations, Neo-Futurist auction items, and an abbreviated preview performance of Too Much Light Makes The Baby GAME POSITIVE.

ART!

The evening launches a month long gallery installation of Chicago indie gamer prints from Video Game Art Gallery in the recently renovated State Park space. An Illinois not-for-profit founded in 2013 in the lively game community of Chicago, Video Game Art (VGA) Gallery seeks to increase cultural appreciation and education about one of the most important mediums of the 21st century -- video games --through exhibition, study, and sale.

GAMES!

Over ten local indie games and multi-player stations are installed throughout The Neo-Futurarium by Bit Bash. Bit Bash was established in 2014 to further the culture of independent game development in Chicago by hosting larger, public-facing events, with the goal to promote games that can't be played at home, have unique controllers or experiences, promote community or make an artistic statement.

FOOD AND DRINK!

Dimos Pizza (dimospizza.com) provides their signature Chicago pies for participants. The evening's libations include a blue cocktail called a Hadouken by CH Distillery (chdistillery.com) and an assortment of beers including their signature stout Mega Milk by Arcade Brewery (arcadebrewery.com).

PERFORMANCE!

It wouldn't be a Neo event without a taste of their signature breakneck pace performance style. Neocade audiences are treated to a sneak preview of Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go GAME POSITIVE.

LIVE AUCTION!

To really get the funds rolling and support the vital, innovative, and internationally recognized work that The Neo-Futurists create each year, the live auction is the perfect place to throw down some cash for incredible items. This year's auction features goods from Video Game Art Gallery, Bit Bash, Jackbox, and many others.

Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go GAME POSITIVE: 30 Digital Plays In 60 Analog Minutes

Friday and Saturday, November 13 and 14 at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets: $25 general admission at www.neofuturists.org

Ensemble members including Ida Cuttler, Bilal Dardai, Trevor Dawkins, Nick Hart, Tif Harrison, Jeewon Kim, and Malic White perform a one-weekend-only video gaming twist on The Neo-Futurists' long-running classic Too Much Light. If you're into battling Alien Nazis, saving the Princess, or just Crushing the Candy, Game Positive is a night of Neo-Futurism focused on the games we play and why we play them.

While at the theatre, make sure to check out the installation by Video Game Art Gallery in the State Park!
