Enjoy movement and music with performances and dance workshops by Pilobolus, an American modern-dance company known for its combination of dance and acrobatic choreography using the human body, and close-up innovative video portraits of the troupe created by Bo Gehring. Visitors may work with Gehring on their own video portrait, which will be projected on a screen and immediately shareable.
America Now is a new Smithsonian summer series that seeks to highlight innovation in art, history and culture. This three-part program is jointly organized by the National Portrait Gallery, National Museum of American History, and Smithsonian American Art Museum and is made possible by the generous support of the Robert and Arlene Kogod Foundation.
