Jeffrey Finn Productions announced that it will present a special engagement of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber for one week only at The Civic Center of Greater Des Moines, from May 9 through 14.

"Featuring a 27-piece onstage orchestra, this stirring event includes the best-loved songs from the scores composed by the Tony, Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer, including Cats, Evita, The Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, Jesus Christ Superstar, Whistle Down the Wind, The Beautiful Game and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," state press notes. The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber is presented by special arrangement with The Really Useful Group.

Headlining the show will be six Broadway stars: Tony Award-nominee Liz Callaway (Baby, Cats, Miss Saigon), John Cudia (Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera), Robert Evan (Jekyll & Hyde, Little Shop of Horrors), Tony Award-nominee Alice Ripley (Side Show, Les Misérables, Sunset Boulevard), Laurie Gayle Stephenson (The Phantom of the Opera, The Secret Garden) and Tony Vincent (Jesus Christ Superstar, We Will Rock You). The production is backed by a 27-piece onstage orchestra.

The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber has been presented in various incarnations and versions throughout the years. The new production is specially devised by Andrew Lloyd Webber for Jeffrey Finn Productions and originally premiered at The Kennedy Center last season. The new show features songs from his newest musical The Woman in White and the Oscar-nominated new song from the film version of The Phantom of the Opera.

Edward G. Robinson, a veteran musical supervisor and conductor for the American productions of several Andrew Lloyd Webber shows including Cats, The Phantom of the Opera and a previous tour of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, will serve as musical supervisor and conductor. Direction is by Tom Kosis, who previously directed The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber in Hartford, Toronto and Washington, D.C., as well as directing and choreographing the national tour of Flower Drum Song. Kosis is also the resident choreographer for the upcoming Broadway production of Mary Poppins.

The performance schedule will be Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 PM, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 PM, Sunday at 6:30 PM, and matinees on Saturday at 2:00 PM and Sunday at 1:00 PM.
