Classical music has gotten a bad rap. Shushing, rustling candy wrappers, stuck in a row of uncomfortable chairs trying not to fall asleep while waiting for intermission to cough or use the bathroom. Forget all of it. That's not how this music was meant to be performed, so we're not gonna do it. Get up, get a drink whenever you want. Cough, slurp, chat as much as you please.

Jessica Anderson (with Stefanie Izzo, Alex Kocheva, Amy Stewart, and the Astoria Music Project) has been an active pianist, teacher and vocal collaborator in New York City since 2011. Before relocating to New York, Jessica Anderson was employed by Roosevelt University where she served as a vocal coach and rehearsal pianist. She completed her Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the same institution where she studied solo repertoire with Dr. Winston Choi and collaborative with Dr. Dana Brown. While attending Roosevelt, she was active as both a soloist and collaborator, featured in their opera productions, scenes, multiple chamber groups, many vocal recitals and solo performances. While earning her Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville she studied with Dr. Linda Perry. www.jessicaandersonpiano.com
