The Little Orchestra Society's 2011-2012 season finale will be PETER AND THE WOLF: Saturday, April 21, at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and Sunday, April 22, at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

In the intimacy of THE KAYE PLAYHOUSE AT HUNTER COLLEGE (68th Street, between Park and Lexington Avenues), children and accompanying adults will see and hear how stories and music go hand-in-hand, how a musical theme can evoke a character, and how the orchestra can paint a picture. Single tickets are $15 (rear balcony/rear orchestra) and $40 (prime seating).

Peter, his animal friends, his grandfather, and the wolf are represented not only by the instruments of the orchestra but by the beloved Lolli-Pops™ characters. Bang the Lion, Buzz the Bee, Toot the Bird, Bow the Panda and guest conductor Sara Jobin, making her LOS debut, act out and bring to life the story of Peter and the Wolf. Direction and choreography of the Lolli-Pops™ series is by Annette Jolles.

Every note and every word of the 2011-2012 season is dedicated to the memory of Dino Anagnost, who led The Little Orchestra Society through 32 seasons of joyful music making.
