The Joe Allen Players return to midtown Manhattan for Broadway Bombs.  After a sold out sold out performances at the Laurie Beechman Theater & Don't Tell Mama this past fall, the Joe
Allen Players will reprise Broadway Bombs  complete with the latest bombs, little known flop facts, new cast members, new stories, new songs and, of course, more Carrie...The Musical. The
performance will take place at Don't Tell Mama - 343 West 46th Street.

Broadway Bombs 2.0 is a loving comic tribute to the phenomenon of the musical flop, celebrating musical treasures from some of the Great White Way's most infamous duds. Selections will come from shows running the gamut from Leonard Bernstein's last original score, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to 2008's Glory Days and the Lucille Ball star vehicle, Wild Cat to 1989's Tony nominated, comic book-inspired musical, Starmites.

Broadway Bombs also features obscure gems from the likes of Kander and Ebb, Bock and Harnick, Craig Carnelia as well as holiday selections from Subways Are For Sleeping, Dude and more...

The Joe Allen Players - an ensemble of gifted musical theater professionals (and skilled customer service professionals, to boot!) - are all current or former employees of the venerable theater district eatery, Joe Allen Restaurant.  Soon after opening in the spring of 1965, Joe Allen began compiling and exhibiting a famed collection of posters for unsuccessful Broadway shows, affectionately christened by industry insiders as the "Flop Wall".    This display of rare and valuable placards is the inspiration behind Broadway Bombs.

The Joe Allen Players cast includes Avery Ragsdale, Jermaine Blackwell, Danny Visconti, Jessica Anderson, Alece DeLuca and Dana Mierlak.  Direction is by John Gray and musical direction is by Barbara Anselmi.

The Joe Allen Players will present Broadway Bombs at Don't Tell Mama (343 West 46th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues) on Thursday, March 11 at 8:30PM.

The show has a $20.00 cover charge with a two drink minimum (cash only).  For reservations and more info call (212) 757-0788 or visit www.donttellmamanyc.com
