The Jakarta Post had an interview with Teater Koma favorite, Budi Saryadi!
Now an actor and translator for Teater Koma, Saryadi grew up as one of five children. His father was a sculptor and painter.
A life-long theatre fan, Mr. Saryadi first began watching performances by The Teater Populer as an elementary schooler in the 1960s. After graduating from Canisius College high school, and then from the University of Indonesia with a degree in Psychology, he joined Teater Koma in 1986.
According to Jakarta Post, "Budi's favorite plays are Pernikahan Darah (Bloody Marriage), which was written by Federico Garcia Lorca, directed by Teguh Karya and performed by Teater Populer at Teater Arena, TIM, in 1987, and Semar Gugat (Semar Accuses), written by N. Riantiarno and performed by Teater Koma at TIM in 1995."
