VIA BROOKLYN is pleased to announce the award-winning production of Patrick Barlow's THE 39 STEPS, directed by Craig J. George. THE 39 STEPS will play a limited engagement at the Southampton Cultural Center (25 Pond Ln, Southampton, NY 11968). Performances begin Thursday, July 13 and continue through Sunday, July 30. Opening Night is Saturday, July 15 (7 p.m.). The 39 Steps has been winning awards and entertaining audiences both on Broadway, Off-Broadway, the West End and around the world, since 2008.
The play is a hilarious lampooning of Alfred Hitchcock's classic murder mystery thriller where four actors play over 50 characters: complete with fast changes, shadow puppets, fog machines, projections, dubious accents, and swarthy mustaches. The production stars Rafe Terrizzi* (Candide directed by Hal Prince; Lincoln Center), Hannah Tova Wolff (Women Are Crazy, Because Men are A**holes directed by Brad Gottfred; Cherry Lane), Ian Harkins* (Forever; ABC Network), and Cori Hundt* (PTP/NYC - Atlantic Stage 2).
The production features scenic and projection design by T. Paul Lowry, costume design by Glenna Ryer, and lighting design by John Salutz. Rafe Terrizzi is the sound designer and Jessi Cotter* is the stage manager. Critic Reservations
