The Grinch to Read Dr. Seuss at Madison Square Garden Charity Book Drive, 10/17

The Event: In the spirit of generosity and goodwill, the Grinch will read Dr. Seuss' famed children's book, How The Grinch Stole Christmas! in front of 25 Garden of Dreams children and officially kick off a charity book drive in support of the Garden of Dreams Foundation. The children will also create two-sided Grinch masks as part of the Children's Museum of Manhattan's holiday programming that will be featured at the museum's dedicated-Grinch workshop exhibit, opening this month.

Book Drive Details: MSG Entertainment and the Children's Museum of Manhattan (CMOM) have teamed up to host a holiday book drive this year to benefit the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a non-profit charity that works with all areas of The Madison Square Garden Company, to make dreams come true for kids facing obstacles. Patrons who attend this year's holiday production of Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical and/or visit the CMOM are encouraged to donate an unused book to the Foundation.

Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical will play at The Theater at Madison Square Garden from Thursday, December 13 through Sunday, December 30, 2012.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. outside Madison Square Garden on the Plaza at 33rd and 7th Avenue, by the marquee
