The Fresh Patch Company-maker of real-grass, fully disposable dog potties-is recommending a new book by Caryl Wolff, well-known dog behavioral expert.

Recently released on Amazon.com for Kindle users with the print book being published in early June, the book is entitled: "Puppy SocializationAn Insider's Guide to Dog Behavioral Fitness." The book shares the wealth of knowledge Wolff has acquired from teaching "Doggie Manners" to thousands of dogs over the past 20 years.

According to the Fresh Patch Company, many of its customers who are house-breaking puppies on its real-grass potties often ask for guidance about training pups to behave well in public and social settings. "We tell them that this book is the answer," says the Fresh Patch Company. "The book provides a fundamental socialization plan and checklist, along with tips, do's, and don'ts. There are also helpful exercises that owners can do with their puppies in and outside of the home to develop socialization skills. The book also contains tips for breeders, trainers and rescue organizations."

"As Wolff points out, timing is critically important to puppy socialization," says the Fresh Patch Company. "We hear from many customers who regret their puppies were not socialized and introduced to the 'real world' before their puppy vaccines were finished. Habituation is one of the important topics covered in Wolff's book, and she discusses how to do it safely as well as offering creative ways to challenge and entertain puppies inside the home."

"Many of our clients travel with their dogs, take them to restaurants, and even take them to the workplace," says the Fresh Patch Company. "The concept of enhancing behavioral fitness for puppies and dogs makes a lot of sense given these lifestyle changes, and Wolff's understanding of dog psychology is a key to success."
