FAB NYC Proclaims Festival Was A Success

The Fourth Arts Block in Manhattan jump-started this year's fall season with the FAB! Festival & Block Party showing off some of the best in East Village music, theater, and dance.

The Operating Theater made a small splash at the festival by sharing a song from their upcoming play, TRANSATLANTICA. Opening this Friday, TRANSATLANTICA is a lunatic fable about the denial of death, by award winning playwright Kenny Finkle. Next in FAB's lineup of events, get a gaste of the real East Village. Let FAB introduce you to 15 varied & delicious restaurants and eateries throughout the East Village, on our East Village Eats Tasting Tour. Restaurants include Cucina di Pesce, Faustina, Luke's Lobster, MUD Truck, Nomad, S'MAC, Supper, This Little Piggy Had Roast Beef, Tuck Shop, & Tu-Lu's Gluten Free Bakery, as well as discount drinks from Jimmy's No. 43, DBA, and XOOM. All proceeds will benefit FAB.

Next, learn to silk-screen. To get all the basics, sign up for an intro class with Works In Progress. Classes are all single sessions from 10am-4pm and will take place October 23 and 30 and November 6 and 13.Register online at www.fabnyc.org.

Finally, every year FAB throws open the doors of the District for openhousenewyork, a city-wide event that allows the public access to private or closed off spaces. Take a tour of the District with Executive Director, Tamara Greenfield, while she covers the past, present, and future of the East 4th Street Cultural District.
