When fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill comes marching into town, you know there's going to be trouble right here in River City. His goal is to con the good townspeople out of their money, but Marian the Librarian has other plans. This wonderful slice of Americana will leave your entire family humming such familiar tunes as "Seventy-Six Trombones, "Gary, Indiana," and "'Till There Was You." By turns wicked, funny, warm, romantic and touching, The Music Man is family entertainment at its best!

The cast album won the first Grammy Award for "Best Original Cast Album" and was number one on the Billboard charts for 245 weeks. The show's success led to a popular 1962 film adaptation and a 2003 television remake. The second Broadway revival, directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman, opened on April 27, 2000 ran for 699 performances. The cast included Rye native, Craig Bierko (making his Broadway debut) as Hill and Rebecca Lukeras Marian.
