The Collective NY launched VOL.4 of The COLLECTIVE:10 ANTHOLOGY with a reception at the Drama Book Shop in New York City on December 12, 2016.

This year's anthology includes 13 original 10-minute plays that premiered as part of the company's wildly popular C:10 festival, which performed to sold out runs in September and December. Vol.4 also features playwright interviews revealing their inspirations and process.

The plays were workshopped and performed by The Collective's ensemble members and associate artists in direct collaboration with the playwrights. Those artists include Kevin Kane (Inside Amy Schumer), Mike Houston (Orange Is the New Black), Michael Abbott Jr. (Mud), Richard Masur (Transparent), Sal Inzerillo (Jack Goes Boating), Sayra Player (Old Times), Nina Mehta (Girls), Joe Maruzzo (The Sopranos), Maggie Champagne (Thanksgiving), Khalil Muhammed (Pryor Truth), Khan Baykal (The Deuce), Francis Benhamou (Playwright's Horizon upcoming The Profane), and Gabe Fazio (The Place Beyond the Pines).

This latest anthology like its predecessors, features stories of urgency, brimming with truth and action, that have come to define The Collective. C:10 anthologies have been best sellers at the Drama Bookshop and have been used as source material in writing and acting classes in conservatory training grounds including NYU and Rutgers. The Collective plans to tour a selection of the published plays from all C:10 Volumes in the spring of 2017.

The newest member to the anthology collection is available for sale at the company's website, the Drama Book Shop in New York City, and on Amazon.com.

The 2016 playwrights and plays include: Mark Borkowski (SAVAGE INK), Greg DePaul (LUCUS & MOLLY), Thomas C. Dunn (WHACK JOB), Maximillian Gill (STICK), Dave Hanson (THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME HAVE SEX WITH YOU), Brian Leider (THE LONGEST RIVER IN THE WORLD), Erin Mallon (ZERO EFFS, CHECK OUT), Joe B. McCarthy (VETS), Sayra Player (SHUTS INS), Brandon T. Snider (A WEEKEND CONFERENCE), and David Thigpen (TOMORROW MOURNING, IN THE WAKE OF YESTERDAY). Their work has been produced internationally by The Cherry Lane, The Actors Studio, The St. James' Theatre in London, IFC, Sundance, Sony, Miramax, MGM, Focus Features, Forbes, and DC Comics.
