Our quest to collect all the OBC Newsies continues this week as we welcome original Davey and Broadway Riffologist Ben Fankhauser!
We're pouring out Reyka vodka and Kona Beer while Ben spills about his traumatic makeover before Chicago at Ithaca, his two-year tour life with Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, and his audition process for Newsies with the best reader ever--Jeremy Jordan!
"What Have You Seen This Week?" is brought to you by Goldstar and features Ben chatting about King Kong and then Kevin and Bryan gushing about Ethan Hawke in True West.
Also on this episode, Game Master Kimberly leads us through a 90's TV Show/Musical Theatre Tenor Classics mashup with "Plot Points" then has our imaginations running wild with the new game "Historical Fiction: The Musical." We also plan an imaginary evening of Adam Guettel musicals in daily rep, begin to compare the bars of the Broadway Theatres, stumble through "Kevin's Corner," and discuss what Ben considers the source of his riffing magic. We have a blast with Ben Fankhauser so listen in and enjoy as our newest #FriendoftheShow gets Broadwyasted!
We're also thrilled to announce that we'll be appearing live in our "St. Patrick's Day Spectacular" at Green Room 42 on March 17th, 2019 at 9:30pm. The night of guests, games, performances, and the unique variety of Broadwaysted antics also happens to be Game Master Kimberly's 30th Birthday, so grab your green and join us.
