The Comic Book Theater Festival Hit Returns to The Brick!
ACTION PHILOSOPHERS

The SMASH hit of The Comic Book Theater Festival returns! The award-winning, best-selling comics series Action Philosophers is adapted for the stage by award-winning playwright Crystal Skillman and directed by John Hurley as the lives and thoughts of history's A-list brain trust leap to the stage in manic, hilarious fashion.

Come meet PLATO-Wrestling Superstar of Ancient Greece! NIETZSCHE-The Original Übermensch! The torrid love affairs of Ayn Rand! And more! From Impetuous Theater Group who brought you Hack! an I.T. Spaghetti Western (a hit at both last year's Too Soon festival and the Vampire Cowboys Saloon Series) Action Philosophers! is a must see, not to mention cheaper than a liberal arts degree-and a whole lot more fun, too!

Based on the Comic Book by
Fred Van Lente & Ryan Dunlavey
Written by Crystal Skillman
Directed by John Hurley

Starring
Neimah Djourabchi, Joseph Mathers, Timothy McCown Reynolds, Matthew Trumbull, Kristen Vaughn, & C.L. Weatherstone

It Returneth!  NERDLESQUE: OBSESSION
Graciously hosted as always by

Makin' Whoopie and Dick E. Lovejoy

To be a true geek is to be consumed-obsessed with finding that near-mint inaugural issue of Alpha Flight, with remembering the name of that Welsh village the Ninth Doctor Who's companion came from, with filling the one bare space in your stamp collection, sitting there mutely, like an unspoken accusation... These bold monomaniacs catalyze our nation's cultural output and stoke its economic engine. Yet, paradoxically, they are driven by absence-by pure, insatiable hunger. There is only one thing that offers satisfaction: Nerdlesque.
On October 8, a jaw-droppingly hot bevy of geeks and other social misfits will explore nerd culture's darkest, hottest obsessions through the medium of burlesque. Power up your warp drive, hop into your Landspeeder, leap aboard your Segway, and come experience the tantalizing geekfest that is Nerdlesque.

Sat 10/8 @ 11pm

Tickets: $10
