The Bijou Theatre Presents John Mulrooney and Paul Virz. John Mulrooney hails from Comedy Central, Showtime, HBO and Hollywood Squares. Paul Virzi graced the stage of Caroline's and The Laugh Factory appearing with Tracy Morgan, Dave Attell and Lisa Lampanelli

John Mulrooney

Simply one of America’s top comedians. Starting in 1980, John got his feet wet in television hosting Comedy Tonight which was the first syndicated TV show to feature nightclub comedy on television. He wrote and starred in a sitcom called Midtown North which aired on Comedy Central for two seasons. During this time, John continued to appear on many television shows including An Evening at the improv, Hollywood Squares, Comedy Central, Showtime and HBO. In addition, he filled in as guest host for Pat Sajak on CBS’ The Pat Sajak Show. Recently, John has focused himself on a new milieu, morning radio. He is a three-time recipient of the coveted, New York State Broadcasters award for best on-air personality.

Paul Virzi

With an edge all his own, Virzi comes up with his own creative solutions to some of society’s problems. Paul touches on issues such as family, race, relationships, current events, politics, his Italian and Greek heritage. Paul regularly performs at New York City’s best clubs including The New York Comedy Club, Stand-Up New York, Comic Strip Live, Caroline’s on Broadway and The Laugh Factory. He has been heard on XM Satellite Radio and performed at The Las Vegas Comedy Festival and at Town Hall as part of the New York Comedy Festival. On TV, Paul has appeared on Fox’s “Red Eye” and TBS. He has shared the stage with some of America’s hottest acts including Tracy Morgan, John Pinette, Bill Burr, Dave Attell and Lisa Lampanelli
