The Morningside Players present A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY, Brian Friel's adaptation of the beloved Turgenev comedy.
The classically moving story of Natalya, the frustrated wife of a landowner, whose schemes for the forbidden love of her son's handsome and vibrant young tutor Aleksey come close to destroying both her long-time lover Michel and the life of her vulnerable, suffering ward Vera.
Hailed as "a masterly triumph... sensitive... superlative...impeccable" by the Irish Independent, A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY will run for twelve performances from May 24th-June 11th (Thurs/Fri at 7:30pm, Sat at 5pm, Sun at 3pm) at The Morningside Players Theater Space: 100 La Salle Street at Broadway, lower level, New York, NY 10027.
