Longtime a cappella vocal group The Art Mob presents their Fall Concert series with a highly relevant program of old-time tunes-everything from Tin Pan Alley, jazz, and radio gospel to Appalachian folk tunes and shape-note hymns. If it's obscure or forgotten, the Art Mob will find it and sing it.
Our December program celebrates one of our favorite body parts: No, it's the gut. Gut, as in instinct, feelings, food, and digestion. Hungry Women on a Diet of Love; Purple People Eaters practicing Peanut Politics; pancakes and bananas, yes! All this and more will be on our Bill of Fare. We'll explain everything in our award-worthy program notes that transcend rational thought to express eloquently our Feelings. (It's amazing how many songs seem to be about feelings but are really about food. And why search for truth when you can have a hamburger instead?) So, come Now to the Banquet.
The Art Mob is: Brent Frederick (music director), Connie Beckley, Bernadette Bizer, Hannah Sage Campbell, Gaynor Cote, Martin Donach, Frank Donno, Richard Haas, Anne Kostick, Jaye Maynard, Dean Rainey, and Kirsten Skrinde.
