The Alliance presents NYC's Fiercest Asian American Comics

Join the Alliance and some of NYC's fiercest Asian American women comedians for Flipping the Script: Tiger Ladies Strike Back! Equal parts screening event and panel discussion, this event features APA women in comedy reflecting, responding, and roasting film clips depicting Asian Americans in television shows and movies throughout history.

Panelists include Anna Suzuki (Japandering, Orange is the New Black, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert), Maya Deshmukh (Maude Night, AzN PoP, Elite Daily, High Maintenance), and Becky Yamamoto (Uninspired, The Outs; Best Actor (Comedy), 2016 New York TV Festival). The event will be moderated by Diana Oh (2016 Van Lier Fellow in Acting; My Lingerie Play)! Unpack the absurdly racist with some hilarious commentary, snack on popcorn, and stand with us for progressive representations of Asian America! This event is free and open to the public.
