That's My Tribe! How to Gather Community Which Enhances Your Career Journey

In this highly interactive 2-hour presentation/workshop including group exercises, the participants will place themselves on several "cultural maps" related to personal interests and backgrounds. This would involve collaborating with others of similar - and diverse - backgrounds. Useful conversations about linking work and values can emerge. These conversations can suggest individual roadmaps and support the organizing process leading to an effective job search.

The Actors Fund will be offering an 8 week group for men over 50 living with a chronic medical condition or disability. Topics open for discussion can include: meaning making, leaving a legacy, identity formation through work, volunteering or when unable to work, ageism, prejudice and stigma in social and medical settings, sexuality and intimacy, self-esteem, death and dying, grief and loss, ways to rebuild your social network.

In partnership with Twin Town Treatment Centers, The Actors Fund will be offering an ongoing sobriety group to support one's own path of recovery. The group will focus on life sobriety skills and gaining support in implementing these skills into daily life. After required initial interview, a twelve session commitment over the course of 12 months is also required. The group is free, confidential and open to all professionals in performing arts and entertainment.
