The Actors Fund welcomes New York Times bestselling author, Chris Guillebeau, for a powerful conversation about how to monetize our strengths and skills and restructure our lives to provide greater freedom and fulfillment.
The interview will be conducted on Monday, November 27 from 1pm to 3pm in front of a live audience at the SAG-AFTRA building at 5757 Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles, and the event will also be live-streamed worldwide in order to assist creatives across the globe.
Live attendees will each receive a complimentary copy of Guillebeau's latest book, Side Hustle: From Idea to Income in 27 Days. Guillebeau defines a "side hustle" as any money-making venture or project that can be done alongside one's current work and family life. This is a perfect concept for Actors Fund clients who are already pursuing careers in performing arts and entertainment-but for whom an additional income stream would provide much needed security, confidence and the freedom to continue the pursuits that they love.
Over the past five years, The Actors Fund Financial Wellness program has had hundreds of entertainment and performing arts professionals participate in its series of dynamic workshops and seminars. The majority of participants have made life-changing shifts in their finances and financial futures. "It is our intention and hope," said national Financial Wellness Program developer Miata Edoga, "that hosting and highlighting events such as this one will help bring the The Actors Fund's free financial education resources to the attention of as many in the entertainment workforce as possible."
