With an atmosphere resembling both a lavish soiree and an intimate block-party, Open Market is a celebration of the Meatpacking District's business community.
At the 4th installment of the event, guests are encouraged to eat, drink, dance and shop their way through the top businesses in the neighborhood, all under one roof. Produced by the Meatpacking District Business Improvement District (Meatpacking BID), the ticketed fundraiser will guarantee access to favorite local brands at sample sale prices. Also included with a ticket purchase is all-you-can-consume food and drink and live music by two famed DJ's, Theophilus London and Coco and Breezy.
The Meatpacking BID is proud to have four districts icons serve as co-chairs for this year's Open Market: Diane Von Furstenberg, Founder and Co-Chairman of DVF; Andrew Rosen, Founder and CEO of Theory; Gary Kline, Co-Owner and CEO of Highline Stages; and Mazdack Rassi, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Milk. In addition, they will be joined by a host committee that includes a who's who of the Meatpacking District and its supporters.
The event will take place at the Highline Stages on March 9, 2017 from 6:00pm - 10:00pm. Building on the success of this event in past years, this year's iteration of the beloved Open Market will bring together your favorite Meatpacking District businesses for a fun celebration of the neighborhood and to mark the end of the winter season.
The 4th Annual Open Market is brought to you by our sponsors - New York Magazine, Lexus and Samsung.
Open Market is dedicated to the promotion of local businesses and artisans to enhance and celebrate the depth of offering in the district. The event is an opportunity for both locals and visitors to experience the district in all its glory for the most entertaining fundraiser of the year.
Open Market raises funds that go towards the sanitation and beautification of the district - the betterment of a beloved neighborhood. This year's proceeds will be earmarked for the 14th Street Master Plan, a long-term project that facilitates the cosmetic and capital upgrade of the streetscape.
