Terry Burrell & Lawrence Leritz Set for THEATRE CHAT, 12/4

This week's guests are actress and playwright Terry Burrell and actor, producer, and choreographer Lawrence Leritz.

Terry Burrell is a stage actor of West Indian-American descent. Terry's Broadway credits include Three Penny Opera, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Swinging On A Star, Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods, and Michael Bennett's Dreamgirls, Honky Tonk Nights, Eubie and the first London production of Showboat as Julie. In regional theatre Terry was nominated for the Helen Hayes Best Actress In a Musical award for her portrayal of Queenie in Duke Ellington's Queenie Pie.

Her most recent appearance was at The Alabama Shakespeare Festival and the Walnut Street Theatre for the world premiere of her one woman piece" ETHEL" a theatrical tribute to Ethel Waters also written and performed by Terry. She is presently standing by in Lady Day in the role of Billie Holiday at the Little Shubert in New York City.

Audiences will recognize Lawrence Leritz from his recent film roles in The Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon and in Julie Taymor's musical Across The Universe. Lawrence made his film debut in "Easy Money" opposite Rodney Dangerfield.

Leritz appeared on Broadway in the Jerome Robbin's revival of Fiddler On The Roof, Fonteyn & Nureyev On Broadway and American Dance Machine. Lawrence was the producer and choreographer of the long running Off-Broadway hit, "Boobs! The Musical,"

Television includes 2013 Emmy Winner, Night Of Too Many Stars, performing in "Call Me Maybe" with Carly Rae Jepsen and Harvey Keitel on Comedy Central. Lawrence began his career as a internationally acclaimed dancer working with the Who's Who of international dance: George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Alvin Ailey, Robert Joffrey, Ruth Page, John Neumeier, Tommy Tune and Sir Frederick Ashton, dancing with such major dance companies all over the world.
