Target to Expand Beauty Concierge Program in Chicago Area

Building off its "Expect More. Pay Less." brand promise, Target announced that it will expand its Beauty Concierge program to 41 Chicagoland stores on May 24. The Target Beauty Concierge originally launched in 28 stores in the Chicago area in July 2012 and its success spurred the program's growth.

Participating stores will be staffed with a Target Beauty Concierge, a highly-trained, brand agnostic beauty enthusiast who is available to answer guests' questions in-store. Serving as a trusted expert, the Beauty Concierge provides guests with personalized, detailed and unbiased information about beauty and personal care products offered at Target and acts as a knowledgeable source of advice in what can sometimes be an intimidating department. Beauty Concierges will be located in the beauty aisle at Target wearing a distinct black apron. No appointment is necessary.

In the beauty department, Target makes specialty beauty accessible and affordable through its broad array of brand collections. Guests can find cosmetics, hair care and skin care from exclusive brands such as Sonia Kashuk and Petra Strand, natural brands like Burt's Bees and all their national brand favorites.

The full store list for Chicagoland is below; the Beauty Concierge program will be a new addition to bolded stores.

The Beauty Concierge program is exiting the Palatine, Bedford Park, Joliet, Villa Park, Oswego, Plainfield, North Aurora and Romeoville stores.

In addition, the program will launch in 96 stores in Los Angeles/Orange County, 36 stores in Minneapolis, and 27 stores in the Washington, D.C. area. These rollouts will begin in May and continue through July, with approximately 200 stores implementing the program in 2013.
