The sultry soul duo Tanya Holt and Robert H. Fowler celebrate the US release of their UK chart-hopping album "Can We?" in a special one-night only engagement at The Green Room 42 at Yotel, 570 Tenth Avenue, 4th floor on Saturday October 20 at 9:30pm. While their project sheds multiple hits on various charts in the UK and internationally (three singles have earned Top 5 positions, including on the official UK Soul chart) Holt and Fowler, who both hail from New York (she's from Queens; he's from the Bronx), have just released the album here. According to album producer Dwayne C. Palmer - the singers' frequent collaborator and the honcho of the project's label, Lovebeams -- this is the kickoff of a live promotional tour for "Can We?" dates to be announced.

In a show featuring original songs from their CD, as well as a number of the pair's favorite R&B classics, the Lovebeams label-mates have assembled a band for the special night that couldn't be more distinguished. Propelling these vocal supernovas into starbursts of seductive sound are Dave Innis on bass of Jazzhole fame; Windham Hill recording artist Sean Harkness on guitar; Blake Hepburn on drums, a monthly regular at Sony Hall and the percussionist for the Harlem Gospel Choir; and songwriter, arranger and recording innovator Anthony Robustelli (Shady Bear Productions) on piano and keyboard. On background vocals are the world-traveled alternative rock, soul and funk songstress Keyontia "Ki Ki" Hawkins, and the singer actress and writer Asa Lovechild who is one of the Top 20 digitally downloaded artists in Neo-Soul on Amazon.com UK.

Tanya Holt won the 2013 Bistro Award for Outstanding Vocalist, and a 2014 MAC Award for her highly praised "Quiet Storm," which premiered at The Metropolitan Room. The NY Times has called her "a sultry pop-soul singer whose smoky, medium-light voice has a playful, kittenish edge." Tanya's recent single "Matter of the Heart" was nominated for the Bright Star Award (UK) for Song of the Year in 2017.

A veteran of such Broadway shows as "The Producers," "Beauty and the Beast," and "Dreamgirls," among others, Robert H. Fowler has shared the stage with Patti LaBelle, Jennifer Holliday, Stephanie Mills, Toni Braxton and the Broadway Inspirational Voices. He's had prior successes with his silky smooth rendition of "Everything in my Life," which he co-wrote with Dwayne Palmer; "What's the Name of Your Love?" and "Out in the Rain." Two other tunes to hit the airwaves for Lovebeams are "Truth Is (I Really Do)" and "In You (I Found All I Need)."

Dwayne C. Palmer, who wrote many of the songs off the album -- including "Forever More" which reached #3 on the UK Soul Chart -- runs Lovebeams and Making Moves Music. He co-penned "We'll Be Together, Then" with Melba Moore, which charted #14 on the UK soul charts.

As they enjoy their meteoric rise on the UK airwaves, the synergistic singers Tanya Holt and Robert H. Fowler premiere "Can We?" for one night of vocal fireworks at The Green Room 42 at Yotel, 570 Tenth Avenue, 4th floor, on Saturday October 20 at 9:30pm. The music charge ranges from $20 to $50.
