Edward R. Matthews, CEO of United Cerebral Palsy of New York City (UCP of NYC), announced today that UCP of NYC will kick off the holidays with the 5th Annual Santa Project Party & Auction tonight, December 10, at the West Village's hot new bistro, Clarkson Restaurant.

The Santa Project Party & Auction, a benefit for UCP of NYC, will be co-hosted by Emmy-winning anchor of PIX 11 News, Tamsen Fadal, and meteorologist for Fox 5's "Good Day New York," Mike Woods. This marks the second consecutive year Ms. Fadal has co-hosted the Santa Project Party. Mr. Woods, a past co-host and co-chair, returns to the benefit for his fifth consecutive year. The event features a silent auction with a range of luxury goods and services for attendees to bid on. In addition to a strong showing of support from a diverse young professional crowd, the event attracts VIP guests from fashion, film, television, and Broadway.

Camilla Barungi, entrepreneur and model of "Project Runway" fame; Javier Gomez, fine-art photographer; Scott Stanford, lead sports anchor PIX 11 News, and host, WWE; and Isiah Whitlock Jr., currently co-star of the hit HBO series "Veep," are co-chairs of the Santa Project Party.

UCP of NYC's Santa Project began when committed supporters expressed a desire to do more during the holiday season. Beyond the core programs and services UCP of NYC delivers year round, proceeds from the Santa Project Party & Auction help fund special needs equipment requests and holiday gift cards for children with disabilities in UCP of NYC's programs.

"UCP of NYC is extremely grateful this holiday season for our hosts, corporate sponsors, donors, and friends," says Edward R. Matthews, CEO of United Cerebral Palsy of New York City. "Their support and concern for our neediest children and families truly exemplifies the spirit and generosity of New Yorkers."

"I am thrilled to return as co-host of the 5th annual UCP of NYC Santa Project Party," says Tamsen Fadal. "I am a big supporter of UCP of NYC and their ongoing work to provide programs and services for children, families, and adults with disabilities."

The Santa Project Party & Auction kicks off the holiday season on December 10th, 2014, from 7:00pm - 10:00pm at Clarkson Restaurant in the West Village at 225 Varick Street, New York, NY (between W. Houston St. & Clarkston St.).

Individual tickets are $100, sponsorship levels and packages are also available. Tickets and sponsorships are available at www.ucpnyc.org/santaproject or by contacting Sheila Lennon at slennon@ucpnyc.org.
