The Tony Award-nominated Broadway revival of Eric Bogosian's 1987 play Talk Radio will take its final bow on June 24th after playing 150 performances at the Longacre Theater on West 48th Street.

The current production, starring Liev Schreiber, opened on March 11, 2007.  Schreiber garnered some of the best reviews of any actor in an already strong season, and he won the 2007 Drama League Distinguished Performance Award for his performance as Barry Champlain.

"Talk Radio was notably thrust into the political spotlight when CBS fired Don Imus earlier this year.  The play's material suddenly became as topical as it was controversial.  The ensuing series of post-show talkbacks with famous talk radio shock-jocks (ranging from Al Sharpton to Curtis Sliwa ) became something of an institution on the Great White Way, offering a rare opportunity for theatergoers to make direct connections between the stage and the contemporary political landscape," state press materials.

Talk Radio will play this week Tuesday through Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, and Sunday at 3pm.  The show is directed by Robert Falls and the cast includes Stephanie March, Peter Hermann, Michael Laurence, Sebastian Stan, Christine Pedi, Barbara Rosenblat, Adam Sietz, Marc Thompson, Kit Williamson, and Cornell WomackTalk Radio has a set by Mark Wendland, costumes by Laura Bauer, lighting by Christopher Akerlind, and sound by Richard Woodbury
