"Two Thousand Miles" is an original musical with a book by Alyssa Williams, music & lyrics by Hans Zanger, and arrangements by Justin Ramos. Premiering at The Hudson Guild Theatre as part of NYSummerfest this October, the musical will be directed by Kyle Bartholick-Lemaire, assistant directed by Alyssa Williams, and music directed by Jaime Lozano.
The cast includes Nik Sorocenski as Davis, Morgan Bartholick-Lemaire as Nate, Aurora Watts-Esquibel as Ava, Sofia Castro as Jessica, Joshua Blount as Julian, and Andrea Hernández, Mieres as Christina/Kate.
"Two Thousand Miles" tells the story of illness, strength, and life-altering experiences. Set in New York City, the musical follows four estranged friends from California as they find themselves working on a musical together years after high school graduation.
Drawing from her own personal experiences, the writer shines a light on arthritis and other illnesses that are deemed invisible. Each character leans on the other through tough times and trials. The new musical will play the festival's closing weekend of performances: Thursday, October 4th at 9:00PM; Saturday, October 6th at 1:00PM; and Sunday, October 7th at 6:00PM at The Hudson Guild Theater, 441 W 26th Street, New York, New York 10001.
