TWO THOUSAND MILES At The Green Room 42 this June

Alyssa Williams and Morgan Bartholick are excited to announce their joint venture Williams & Bartholick Theatricals. Williams & Bartholick Theatricals is an up-and-coming producing team, specializing in bringing awareness to charitable causes through the performing arts. In addition to cabarets and concerts, we bring new shows to the stage and new ideas to the established musical theatre canon. In February 2017, Alyssa and Morgan met during auditions for Godspell in Concert, Alyssa's first benefit for the Arthritis National Research Foundation. After this sold out concert reading, we continued to build a professional and personal relationship through concerts/cabarets.

Their first project together will be Two Thousand Miles where Morgan is joining as co-writer. Also joining the project is Matt DeMaria as co-composer, The Jade/Anthony Company as associate producer, and Hazel Jade as production dramaturge.

The company is participating in the Arthritis Foundation's Walk to Cure Arthritis and is launching a fundraising campaign to raise money for their team. Williams & Bartholick will be putting on themed cabaret events at The Duplex under the title "Artists for Awareness" taking place in April and May as part of their fundraising efforts. Featuring some of New York City's finest performers, Artists for Awareness is a budding concert series that raises funds for charities including The Arthritis Foundation. Through the catalogs of favorite singers and scores of beloved musicals, we strive to bring attention to important causes through the power of music. The fundraising campaign will conclude with a reading of their musical, Two Thousand Miles at The Green Room 42 on June 7th.

Split between California and New York City, Two Thousand Miles tells the story of illness, strength, and life-altering experiences through events that reunite a group of friends. Davis, a business school student turned playwright dealing with Lupus, and his boyfriend Nate, a composer overcoming the recent loss of his brother, are working towards the premiere of their new musical. Ava fights to share her reality of living with Arthritis and being a working actor, while Jessica struggles to reignite her passion and face what's holding her back in a new city. Julian and Christina are unexpectedly pregnant to his mother's disapproval; how will this affect their future and their relationship? Through their collective journeys, the friends show us how love can transcend illness and personal strife through acceptance and the bonds of friendship.

The reading will be produced by Williams & Bartholick Theatricals in association with The Jade/Anthony Company and directed by Devon Goffman (On Your Feet! 1st Nat'l Tour, Motown The Musical, US Tour). The cast includes Danny Burgos as Davis (On Your Feet! Broadway,1st Nat'l Tour, Bhangin' It, Ja Jolla), Marina Pires as Ava (On Your Feet! 1st Nat'l Tour, Evita, Asolo Repertory) Morgan Bartholick as Nate (Wizard of Oz, Vital Theatre Company, HAIR, Secret Theatre), Linedy Genao as Jessica (On Your Feet! Broadway, Havana Music Hall, World Premiere), Emmanuel López Alonso as Julian (On Your Feet! Broadway, Russian Doll, Netflix), and Allison Lane as Christina (NYC debut!).
