As reported by BroadwayWorld, Washington Post theatre critic Peter Marks used Twitter this morning to reveal details of his breakfast conversation with Hamilton's Lin-Manuel, among them the fact that Miranda's current alternate in the title role, Javier Muñoz, will take on the part full-time after he leaves the show on July 9th. Muñoz will perform the role seven times and another actor will be chosen to perform once a week.
Also revealed by Miranda is that the musical will be filmed with the original cast later this month, although he doesn't know what will be done with it, and that a 90-minute documentary about the show, "Hamilton's America," will air on PBS on October 17th.
The author/star also says he may jump into the show for a few days in other cities, if an actor "needs a vacation."

Winner of eleven 2016 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, HAMILTON is now playing at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre. With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.
HAMILTON is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation's first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway,HAMILTON is the story of America then, as told by America now.
