TV, Film and Theatre Stars Set for 'STOCKINGS WITH CARE' Bartending Night, 11/17

New York's television, film and theatrical celebrities will take their place behind the bar at the annual "Stockings with Care Celebrity Bartending Night" in New York City on Monday, November 17th at Hudson Station Bar and Grill (440 Ninth Avenue between 34th and 35th Streets) from 7pm to 11pm to raise money for the not-for-profit organization. Stockings with Care provides holiday gifts for children whose families live in homeless shelters or are in jeopardy of becoming homeless.

This years celebrities are: Josh Lucas (Mysteries of Laura, Sweet Home Alabama), Nikki M. James (Tony Winner Book of Mormon, Les Miserables), Orfeh (Legally Blonde, Saturday Night Fever), Andy Karl (Rocky, Legally Blonde, Jersey Boys), Natalie Toro (A Tale of Two Cities, Les Miserables), Carrie Preston (The Good Wife, True Blood), John Benjamin Hickey (The Good Wife, The Big C), Ben Rappaport (The Good Wife), Chad Coleman (Walking Dead, The Wire), Danny Pino (Law and Order: SVU), Emily Meade (The Leftovers), Michael Kelly (House of Cards), Kate Shindle (Wonderland, former Miss America), Stephen Wallem (Nurse Jackie), Susie Misner (The Americans, Nashville), Allison Wright (The Americans), Michael Chernus (Manhattan, Orange is the New Black), Neal Bledsoe (Smash, Ironside), Matthew Rhys (The Americans, Brothers and Sisters), Jake Robinson (Carrie Diaries and upcoming Odyssey), Alysia Reiner (Orange is the New Black, How to Get Away with Murder), David Alan Basche (The Exes), Laz Alonso (Mysteries of Laura, Southland, Avatar), Janina Gavankar (Mysteries of Laura, True Blood, The L Word), Max Jenkins (Mysteries of Laura, Breaking Upwards), Helene Yorke (Masters of Sex, High Maintenance), Robert Beitzel (Turn, General Hospital), Connie Shulman, Lea Delaria, Selenis Levya, Dascha Polanco, and Jessica Pimentel (all from Orange is the New Black). There will also be a silent auction and raffle. All monies raised from this event will support Stockings with Care's 2014 Holiday Drive. A $40 cover will be charged at the door($30 in advance) and all tips raised by the celebrity bartenders will be donated to Stockings with Care. ABOUT STOCKINGS WITH CARE: Celebrating its 23rd anniversary, Stockings with Care (SWC) was created over 20 years ago by casting director Rosalie Joseph and producer Tom Fontana and grants the gift wishes of children while preserving the dignity of parents and caregivers. SWC works with various agencies that help families in crisis. The children make their wish lists, and social workers provide SWC with the name, gender and age of each child along with their wishes. Individual donors (aka "Santas"), corporations and a small army of volunteers come together to purchase and wrap the gifts. They are then delivered anonymously to the parents before the holidays, ensuring dignity and creating holiday magic. Last year over 2,000 children woke up to a miracle on Christmas morning. Since its inception in 1992, over 40,000 children have benefited from Stockings with Care.

This year's Holiday Drive will take place the weekend of December 11th - 14th.
