TRU Welcomes Klea Blackhurst, Bob Cuccioli, Julie Reyburn, and Steve Ross to the 25th Anniversary TRU Love Benefit

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces the preliminary lineup of performers and the honoree committee for its 25th Anniversary Benefit, "25 Years of TRU Love: Creating Community Through the Arts."

The gala luncheon celebration will be hosted by Bistro Award winner KLea Blackhurst, with performances by Tony nominee Bob Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde), 4-time MAC and 2-time Bistro Award winner Julie Reyburn and the "crown prince of New York cabaret" MAC Award winner Steve Ross. Theater luminaries who are supporting the event in honor of TRU Spirit of Theater Award recipient Jana Robbins include Michael Alden, Daniel Beaty, Martin Charnin, R. Erin Craig, Dani Davis, Michele Lee, Eric Krebs, Daryl Roth, Catherine Schreiber, D Tucker Smith and Frank Zuback.

This special fundraiser for arts service organization Theater Resources Unlimited will take place on Sunday, November 5, 2017 beginning at noon at Caroline's on Broadway, 1626 Broadway (between 49th and 50th Streets), NYC. Pre-show cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres start at noon followed by a 3-course luncheon at 1pm and performance and awards at 2pm. "25 Years of TRU Love: Creating Community Through the Arts" will honor TRU Spirit of Theater Award recipient, Jana Robbins, producer (<" style="color:black; font-style:normal; ">Roof of the World, Ragtime revival, I Love You Because, Little Women) and Broadway actress (Gypsy with Tyne Daly, Tale of the Allergist's Wife). The event will also celebrate 25 years of TRU's service to the theater community, and celebrate past honorees:Pat Addiss, Michael Alden, Patrick Blake, Allan Buchman, Linda Amiel Burns, Ben Cameron, Neil Danoff (in memoriam), Ken Davenport, Van Dean, Teresa Eyring, Michael Feingold, TEd Greenberg, Woodie King Jr., Patricia Klausner, Elysabeth Kleinhans, Daniel Marshall, Jerry Mitchell, Barry Moss (in memoriam), Shakina Nayfack, Edith O'Hara, Michael Presser, Lou Rodgers, Arlene Romoff, Philip Rose (in memoriam), Ron Simons, Jennifer Ashley Tepper, FrEd Vogel (in memoriam), Cheryl Wiesenfeld and Randall Wreghitt (in memoriam).

Directed by Drama Desk Award winner Jim Brochu (Zero Hour, The Big Voice), the performance will include a LIVE AUCTION of an eight day seven night UNIWORLD Western European Boutique River Cruise valued up to $10,000, as well as tickets to Hamilton. Reception will also feature a Silent Auction with prizes that include tickets to Broadway and Off-Broadway shows plus consultations, coachings and more to be announced.

The proceeds from this event directly benefit the programs of Theater Resources Unlimited, a not-for-profit service organization that educates people in the business of the arts, with a focus on producers, emerging theater companies and self-Producing Artists. Programs include monthly panels, workshops, a Producer Development and Mentorship Program, a new plays and new musicals reading series and a community e-blast of jobs, services, resources and theater events.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) is the leading network for developing theater professionals, a twenty-four year old 501c3 nonprofit organization created to help producers produce, emerging theater companies to emerge healthily and all theater professionals to understand and navigate the business of the arts.
