Theatre Development Fund has announced that its satellite TKTS Discount Booth at South Street Seaport will remain closed until further notice due to extensive water damage sustained as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

TDF’s main TKTS Discount Booth in Times Square remains open and TDF’s other satellite TKTS Discount Booth in Downtown Brooklyn will reopen as soon as mass transit is fully operational. An announcement will be made when TKTS Downtown Brooklyn reopens.

Recently, TDF announced that TKTS Times Square, now in its 40th year of service at Broadway and 47th Street, Manhattan has added two new services.

(1) On two-performance days, matinee and evening tickets are being sold simultaneously. For example: on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, when TKTS opens at 10am (or 11am on Sundays), patrons are able to purchase matinee and/or evening performance discount tickets for that day. Previously, matinee tickets were sold only from 10am to 2pm and evening tickets sold only from 3pm to 8pm.

(2) Additionally, Window #1 serves as a “Full-Price Ticket Window” which will allows TKTS Times Square ticket buyers to purchase full-price tickets to all shows for future performances or same day full-price tickets to shows that are not available at a discount at any other TKTS Booth windows.
