Miller is a nationally touring standup comedian. In 2011, he hosted an hour-long Comedy Central standup special (which performed poorly) titled "T.J. Miller: No Real Reason."
Miller has been named one of Variety's "Top 10 Comics to Watch," and among Entertainment Weekly's "Next Big Things in Comedy." Miller currently stars in HBO's Emmy and Critics' Choice Award-winning series Silicon Valley, for which he received the Critics' Choice Television Award for "Best Supporting Actor." Miller appeared opposite Ryan Reynolds in the hit Marvel feature Deadpool, and his voice stars in the Academy Award-winning Big Hero 6, as well as in How to Train Your Dragon and How to Train Your Dragon 2 (and soon, How to Train Your Dragon 3). Miller has appeared in many popular major studio films including Transformers 4, Cloverfield, She's Out of My League, Extract, and Seeking a Friend for End of the World. He released the hip-hop/pop/folk music album "The Extended Play E.P." and produced the ILLEGAL ART REMIXTAPE. He also hosts the weekly podcast "Cashing in with T.J. Miller" on nerdist.com.
"I spill a lot of water," said Miller.
Performer and mixed media artist Kate Miller will join husband T.J. on tour, performing a vaudevillian, dark-humored set to open for T.J.'s shows in select cities; T.J. will be featured as part of the set as well, singing and clowning with Kate. Kate recently unveiled a website showcasing her work, ROSEPETALPISTOL (rosepetalpistol.com). She and T.J. have previously performed in a national comedy tour together, and they are co-creating a digital surreality docuseries, k8&t.j.:surReality.
"He spills a lot of water," said Kate of T.J.
Also featured on the tour will be comedian Nick Vatterott. Named among Vulture's "50 comedians you should know" and by The Hollywood Reporter as one of the "break-outs" at Montreal's Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Vatterott has performed on Conan, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Comics Unleashed, and AXS TV, and has a half-hour special on Comedy Central. Vatterott was a producer/writer/performer on Comedy Central's Mash Up, and has written for MTV and The Critics' Choice Awards.
"What is water?" asked Vatterott.
The HBO special for The Meticulously Ridiculous Tour will be produced by Funny Or Die.
