The T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS Research will celebrate its 37thAnnual Honors Gala on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the legendary Cipriani on 42nd Street in New York. This year the foundation is proud to present the Humanitarian of the Year Award to Russell Simmons, the American business magnate and influential music producer. The Lifetime Music Industry Award will be presented at the gala to twenty year music industry veteran and Grammy Award winning producer Randy Jackson. The Spirit of Excellence Award will be presented to Del Bryant, President & Chief Executive Officer of BMI and the T.J. Martell Spirit of Life Award will go to Edward Walson, producer of film and television with Sunrider Productions, Service Electric Cable TV and Regis and Friends TV.
Legendary entertainer and talk show host Regis Philbin will present the award to Edward Walson and esteemed entertainment attorneyJoel Katz will present the award for Del Bryant. Other presenters and performers will be announced over the next few weeks along with red carpet attendees.
The T.J. Martell Foundation’s annual gala has long been a who’s who amongst celebrities and musical performers. The special evening includes a star-studded red carpet, musical performances by some of today’s greatest performers and attendance by celebrity friends and families. The night also includes a fantastic cocktail reception, dinner, awards presentation and world-class silent auction to raise funds for cancer and AIDS research.
