TITANIC Benefit Concert Tickets Now On Sale, Concert Held 6/21

Producers of the upcoming concert staging of Titanic announced today that tickets will be on sale effective immediately. "Due to the incredible response and interest we've received since announcing this production, we have decided to put tickets on sale ahead of schedule," says the production team.

Concert ticket prices range from $15.00 - $20.00. Tickets for the VIP post-show wine and dessert reception range from $50.00 - $75.00 are also available. All proceeds benefit the New York Society for Ethical Culture in celebration of its 2010 Building Centennial.

Monday, June 21, the Tony-winning Broadway musical Titanic will return to New York for one night only featuring some of its original stars. The show will be presented in concert format as a benefit for the New York Society for Ethical Culture (NYSEC). Produced by Sarah Melissa Rotker in association with Josh Wellman, the event will take place in NYSEC's 800-seat Concert Hall, which last year played host to the first SAW Theatricals/Ethical Culture collaboration with a sold-out concert production of Jekyll & Hyde.

The producers are proud to announce that original cast member Martin Moran will recreate his Drama League Award-winning performance as wireless operator Harold Bride. Additional casting will be announced shortly.

According to lead producer, Sarah Rotker, "The New York Society for Ethical Culture holds a special place in the social history of New York City, and Titanic is the perfect vehicle to raise money for this important institution. With its issues of class and the human costs of industrialization, I can't think of a more relevant show at this point in our history."

TITANIC is Maury Yeston and Peter Stone's musical and winner of five Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Score. Its original Broadway cast featured Michael Cerveris, Brian d'Arcy James, Martin Moran, and Alma Cuervo. It is set aboard the RMS Titanic during its ill-fated maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York City, which infamously ended with the loss of the ship and over 1500 lives. Titanic interweaves stories of passengers of all classes, along with the ship's crew and orchestra.
