The star-studded cast of THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON took their first official Broadway bow on Sunday, March 6. Starring Brian Cox, Jim Gaffigan, Chris Noth, Jason Patric and Kiefer Sutherland, the show will play the Bernard B Jacobs Theatre through May 29th. Original Mary Poppins Ashley Brown made a triumphant return to the Great White Way this week as she resumed her role as the world's most beloved nanny at the New Amsterdam Theatre. Brown reunites with her original Broadway ‘Bert,' co-star Gavin Lee, having last performed with him when they launched and headlined the MARY POPPINS North American tour. Broadway legend Liza Minnelli was honored on Tuesday with a Gray Line ‘Ride of Fame.' At the ceremony, Minnelli proclaimed: " Welcome to New York, New York. Gearing up for a four night Encores! run, the cast of Frank Loesser's WHERE'S CHARLEY?recently took the time to pose for a quick photo shoot. The City Center production will play March 17-20. For more photos of the cast, click here.

Across the pond in the West End, Ruthie Henshall, Alison Steadman, Robert Bathurst, and Hermione Norris play the complicated Condomine family in the hilarious comedy BLITHE SPIRIT. Following a UK tour, the show just made its final stop at the Apollo Theatre. Click here for more production shots!

Funny lady Kathy Griffin has been busy preparing for her limited run Broadway engagement, Kathy Griffin WANTS A TONY. In a hilarious PR stunt, she was caught outside the Belasco Theatre on Tuesday handing out flyers with rave reviews of her as yet unopened show. Click here for full coverage!

Featuring the talents or Broadway's Christian Borle, Celia Keenan-Bolger and Adam Chanler-Berat, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER just opened at New York Theatre Workshop. Telling the story of Peter Pan before he made his trip to Neverland, the show features a book by Dave Barry and direction by Alex Timbers. Click here for full opening night.

Finalists got to sing songs by their personal idols this week as the lucky 13 were reduced to 12 on AMERICAN IDOL. In a suspenseful results show, featuring performances by Idol alum Adam Lambert and Diddy Dirty Money, Ashton Jones was the first to be sent home. Meet the top 12 finalists here.


Montego Glover, Chad Kimball

Yesterday, Memphis' Montego Glover and Chad Kimball were immortalized with their very own caricatures at the legendary Sardi's restaurant. The duo was joined by Sardi's president Max Klimavicius and their MEMPHIS co-stars to celebrate the event. For full Broadwayworld coverage, click here!


Matthew Fox, Olivia Williams

LOST star Matthew Fox and THE GHOST WRITER's Olivia Williams star in the world premiere production of Neil LaBute's IN A FOREST, DARK AND DEEP. LaBute directs the production, which will officially open on March 14. Click here for more production shots.


Cast of FORUM

Paper Mill Playhouse brings something familiar and peculiar to the stage in their upcoming production of A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM. Featuring Paul Vogt, the show will run March 16- April 10. For more rehearsal coverage, click here.

In BABY IT'S YOU!, Beth Leavel stars as Florence Greenberg, the woman who changed the recording world forever when she discovered The Shirelles and created Scepter Records, becoming the music industry's first female powerhouse. On March 7, The 24 Hour Company presented brand new musicals were written, cast, rehearsed and performed in a single day, featuring an star-studded line up of Broadway performers, composers, writers, directors, choreographers and musical directors.
