Joining Robert Lindsay (Henry II) and Joanna Lumley (Eleanor of Aquitane) in Trevor Nunn's production of James Goldman's The Lion in Winter are Tom Bateman (Richard), Sonya Cassidy (Alais), Joseph Drake (John), Rory Fleck-Byrne (Philip) and James Norton (Geoffrey). The Lion in Winter is produced by the Theatre Royal Haymarket Company, and runs until 28 January 2012. For more photos from the show, click here.

SPIDER-MAN: Turn Off The Dark began its second year with tomthis week at The Foxwoods Theatre. The occasion was celebrated with the on-stage presentation of a giant (seven foot) cake in the shape of the iconic Chrysler Building. SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark began preview performances on November 28, 2010, and has become one of the most famous theatrical events in Broadway history. Following a sensational sell-out season at The Courtyard Theatre, the RSC's production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL transferred to London's West End and opened last week to tremendous critical acclaim. In the show, Roald Dahl's much-loved story bursts into life on stage in this brand new musical version by Dennis Kelly and award-winning musician and comedian Tim Minchin. War Horse was originally a novel by Michael Morpurgo, released in 2007. The show was then adapted into a play which is currently running at the New London Theatre and Broadway's Vivian Beaumont Thetare. Steven Spielberg has adapted War Horse into a feature length film, which is set to be released in movie theatres on December 25 and you can check out more photos from the movie here.

The Actors Fund and the Vineyard Theatre presented a one-night-only benefit concert performance of THE VISIT, starring Broadway stage legends and Tony Award winners Chita Rivera and John Cullum, on November 30. Directed by Carl Andress with choreography by Tony Award winner Ann Reinking, musical direction by Jon Kalbfleisch and musical supervision and vocal/dance arrangements by David Loud, the performance took place at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre, the current home of the celebrated revival of Kander & Ebb's worldwide smash Chicago. The Old Globe is currently presenting the World Premiere of Some Lovers, a new musical with book and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award winner Steven Sater and music by Academy and Grammy Award-winning legend Burt Bacharach. Directed by Will Frears with music supervision byLon Hoyt and choreography by Denis Jones, Some Lovers will run through Dec. 31 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Following on from Sunday in the Park with George, Little Shop of Horrors, La Cage aux Folles, A Little Night Music and Sweet Charity, the Menier Chocolate Factory is currently presenting Stephen Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson's Pippin. Pippin began previews on Tuesday, 22 November, opens officially on 7 December, and will run through 25 February, 2012. PS Classics, the label dedicated to the heritage of Broadway and American popular song, released the new two-disc set Broadway cast album of the Kennedy Center's acclaimed revival of FOLLIES on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Yesterday, December 1st, Stephen Sondheim, Bernadette Peters, Jan Maxwell, Danny Burstein, Ron Raines, Elaine Paige and additional members of the cast of FOLLIES signed copies of the album at Barnes & Noble on the Upper East Side.
