54 Below (located at 254 W 54th Street) has an exciting upcoming set of performers, including Tony Award nominees Liz Callaway, Laura Osnes, Frank Wildhorn, and Charles Busch, as well as other Broadway favorites Amy Spanger, James Snyder, and Adrienne Warren. The performers will take 54 Below in various performance dates throughout December and January, and they gathered together earlier this week in a special press preview. Congratulations to both current and former casts and crews of the 1996 revival of CHICAGO, which officially became Broadway's second longest-running show on Sunday, November 23rd! Sunday marked the revival 7,486th performance, surpassing Andrew Lloyd Weber's long-running hit CATS. The only Broadway show that has run longer than Chicago is the currently-running PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. The revival's four original stars, Ann Reinking, Bebe Neuwirth, Joel Grey, and James Naughton, were welcomed back for this record-breaking event. Tony Award nominee Ann Hampton Callaway previewed her cabaret show TURNING POINTS at Broadway's supper club, 54 Below, this week. The show explores the milestones of Callaway's career and life, and includes hits of Broadway, pop, and jazz, as well as songs that she herself has penned. Callaway earned a Tony Award nomination for her performance in SWING! and is a multiple MAC Award winner. Click here to see more coverage of the preview!

16-time Grammy Award Winner Sting is returning to the Broadway stage in his new musical THE LAST SHIP for a limited four-week engagement. He will begin performances on December 9th and continue through January 10th at the Neil Simon Theatre. Sting is replacing original cast member Jimmy Nail in the role of Jackie White in the hopes that his stint will revive ticket sales. Several Broadway companies performed in the longtime tradition of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade yesterday, November 27th. Among the participating casts were HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, THE LAST SHIP, A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, ON THE TOWN, and SIDE SHOW. The 2014 Broadway Carols for a Cure CD is available for purchase either online at broadwaycares.org or in person at many participating Broadway shows. The recording is a compilation of various holiday songs recorded by this year's Broadway casts, sold to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. BroadwayWorld has been at several recording sessions for this year's CD, including CABARET's! The cast performed 'Stille Nacht & Mi Zeh Hidlik' in the spirit of the show. Reality television sensation NeNe Leakes, known for THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA, took her first bow in the Broadway revival of CINDERELLA. Leakes will join cast members KeKe Palmer, Joe Carroll, and Judy Kaye in the role of 'Madame,' or the Evil Stepmother. The multi-talented David Burtka, who is returning the Broadway this spring in IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, returned to the New York theatre scene earlier this week with his 54 Below show, BURTKA, DAVID. Directed by his Tony Award-winning husband Neil Patrick Harris, with musical direction by Seth Rudetsky, Burtka's show played for two nights only to sold out houses. Tony Award winner Idina Menzel performed yesterday at the 88th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on "The Enchanting World of Lindt Chocolate" Float. Currently starring in the new musical IF/THEN, Menzel has had an extremely exciting and successful year, including performing "Let It Go" from FROZEN at this year's Academy Awards.
