The hit musical comedy Nice Work If You Can Get It welcomed Tony Award nominee Jessie Mueller, John Treacy Egan and Conrad John Schuck to the production on March 29th in the roles of Billie Bendix, Chief Berry and Senator Max Evergreen. Broadway legend Liza Minnelli guest stars as herself on this week's all new episode of SMASH, titled "The Surprise Party."On the episode, with guest star Minnelli in tow, Tom (Christian Borle) plans a surprise for Ivy (Megan Hilty) in an attempt to find a balance between their work life and their friendship. Relations between Karen (Katharine McPhee), Jimmy (Jeremy Jordan), and Derek (Jack Davenport) explode just as "Hit List's" rehearsal process nears its close. For more photos go here.

BroadwayWorld was on hand for the most star studded opening of the season,on April 1, as Tom Hanks made his Broadway debut in Lucky Guy, written by Nora Ephron and directed by George C. Wolfe. The Professional Dancers Society (PDS) Gypsy Awards Luncheon honored Ben Vereen and presented a special award to Michael Rooney on March 24, 2013, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. Each year, The Professional Dancers Society holds its Awards Luncheon honoring celebrities who have made a specific contribution to the entertainment field. The luncheon serves as PDS's major fundraising event, bringing in upwards of $100,000 for The Actor's Fund. Check out more photos here!

On Wednesday, April 3rd, Oz had a very special visitor, as Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber attended the all-Canadian production of his new musical for the first time. Lloyd Webber was in Toronto last fall for the CBC television show Over the Rainbow, which cast Danielle Wade in the lead role of Dorothy, however he had not yet seen the full production of the show. One of the fastest selling shows in London West End, "Dirty Dancing," makes its Manila premiere on Thursday, July 4 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

Kinky Boots, from four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (book), Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics), Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Director & Choreographer), began preview performances on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) on March 3, 2013 and opened on April 4.
