Cirque du Soleil Theatrical will soon present Cirque du Soleil -PARAMOUR, the organization's first production created specifically for Broadway. PARAMOUR will begin previews on Saturday, April 16, 2016 and open on Broadway on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the Lyric Theatre (213 West 42nd Street). The Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's The Crucible, starring Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan, opens tonight, March 31, at the Walter Kerr Theatre, 219 West 48 Street. Below, check out photos of the cast in action here!

Up next in the Encores! season is 1776, the classic Tony Award-winning musical about how the founding fathers drafted the Declaration of Independence and gave birth to a new nation. A unique show that presents John Adams (Santino Fontana), Thomas Jefferson (John Behlmann), andBenjamin Franklin (John Larroquette) in all their fractious, fascinating complexity, 1776 features such beloved songs as "Sit Down, John," "Cool, Cool, Considerate Men," and "He Plays the Violin." Paper Mill Playhouse will soon present its spring musical, Pump Boys and Dinettes. This Tony Award nominee features James Barry(Jim), Gabe Bowling (Jackson),Julie Foldesi (Prudie), Jason Ostrowski (L.M.), Alysha Umphress (Rhetta) and Sam Weber (Eddie). MasterVoices (formerly The Collegiate Chorale) has announced that CFDA designer Christian Siriano will provide gowns for the company's upcoming performance of Dido and Aeneas, starring Kelli O'Hara & Victoria Clark, on April 28, 2016 at 7pm and April 29, 2016 at 8pm at New York City Center, 131 W. 55th Street, New York City. Tony Award-winner Alfie Boe, the British tenor acclaimed for his role as 'Jean Valjean' in the widely watched 2010 25th anniversary special televised concert at London's O2 arena of LES MISERABLES, again in the West End's 2011 production, and in Broadway's current revival, just took over the role of 'J.M. The Public Theater has announced a one-week extension for the New York premiere of Head of Passes, part of Oskar Eustis' 10th anniversary season. Written by Tarell Alvin McCraney and directed by Tina Landau, Head of Passes officially opened last night, Monday, March 28 and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, April 17. It will now run an additional week through Sunday, April 24. BroadwayWorld brings you photos from the big night here!

With direction by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie and choreography by Josh Rhodes, BRIGHT STAR began performances on Thursday, February 25th, 2016 at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street), and opened last Thursday, March 24th, 2016. For 99 years, The Drama Book Shop has been a beloved New York institution, serving the theatrical community with the world's largest collection of theatre and film books. On the evening of Sunday, February 14th, The Tony Award-winning Drama Book Shop suffered a burst water pipe, destroying half the shop's inventory and doing extensive damage to the shop itself.
