The 25th Annual EASTER BONNET COMPETITION raised $3,706,085, the result of six weeks of intensive fundraising for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS by 52 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies. The grand total was announced at this year's EASTER BONNET COMPETITION, which ended in two shows featuring original presentations, songs and elaborate, custom-made bonnets from 17 of the participating shows. This week on 'Dancing with the Stars' the contestants shook their stuff to guilty pleasure songs, and in what seems like a season full of mishaps, karate kid Ralph Macchio accidentally dropped his partner Karina Smirnoff. The new Broadway musical Baby It's You! tells the inspiring story of Florence Greenberg, the woman who changed the recording world forever when she discovered The Shirelles and created Scepter Records, becoming the music industry's first female powerhouse. The Public Theater presents the New York premiere of Tony Kushner's THE INTELLIGENT HOMOSEXUAL'S GUIDE TO CAPITALISM AND SOCIALISM WITH A KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES. This week on American Idol, the Top 6 got two chances to impress the judges with solos and duets of songs by Carole King. Though Haley and Casey's rendition of "I Feel the Earth Move" was one of the highlights of the week, Casey was sent packing, splitting up the adorable couple until the finale.
