This is the moment you've all been waiting for- the finals! After a long road of auditions, boot camp, and the live shows, we are now just inches away from the finish line. The 3 finalists will each sing two songs for the last time for America's votes. Josh Krajcik, Chris Rene, and Melanie Amaro are performing for their lives tonight. Tomorrow, one of them will be crowned the winner of The X Factor!
Each contestant looked back on their experience and expressed how much they want to win. Supporters of all three of the finalists are watching the show live in their hometowns.
Josh Krajcik was first to perform and set the bar high! He sang "Uninvited" and was joined by Alanis Morissette. It was a very strong performance and they sounded great together. The judges enjoyed his performance. LA. said, "You seemed right at home," and Paula said "I couldn't think of a better way to start the show!" Supporters were shown watching him live at his old high school in Wooster, OH. For his second song he sang, "At Last." He was excellent! This was definitely one of his best performances and one of the best of the night. His vocals were beautiful and he really shined. The judges loved his performance. Simon said, "This is going to be a very close call tonight" (It definitely is!). Nicole said, "Music loves you!" His town's mayor talked and named it Josh Krajcik Day.
Next up was Chris Rene. He sang "Complicated" with Avril Lavigne. This performance wasn't his best, but he had great energy. He and Avril worked really well together and had a lot of fun. The judges liked his performance. Nicole said, "It was a little shaky, but you came out on top. You shined up there." L.A. said, "You were at home with Avril" (He was very comfortable performing with a star and definitely held his own!). Supporters from his hometown of Santa Cruz, CA gave their reactions to his performance. His rehab counselor spoke and his supporters made him a cake. He got emotional after seeing them. He also sang his original song "Young Homie." He was incredible! He really put his all into this performance and it was one of his best. It was also one of the best of the night. He really showed his star power. The judges praised him. Nicole said, "We all have a purpose in life and you are serving your purpose with that song." Simon said, "That was your 5 million dollar song" (It was he definitely proved that he has what it takes to win).
There was a group performance with the Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour dancers. They sang "They Don't Care About Us." It was very entertaining and full of energy.
Last to perform was Melanie Amaro. She sang "I Believe I Can Fly" as a duet with R Kelly. This performance was not her best, but she and R Kelly sounded beautiful together. The judges had mixed reactions to her performance. L.A. said, "You got a little bit overshadowed by R Kelly. I expected more from you." Nicole said that she "soared." People in hometown of Sunrise, FL spoke about her performance. For her second song she sang "Listen." She was amazing! Her vocals were very strong and her performance was one of the best tonight. The judges loved her performance. L.A. said, "That wasn't a 5 million dollar performance, that was a 50 million dollar performance" (I completely agree!). Simon said, "You, based on that performance tonight, should be the winner of The X Factor!" The Mayor of her hometown spoke.
Wow that was definitely one of the best shows yet! Everyone really gave it their all tonight and each proved that they are a star. Each one of these talented performers is worthy of winning the competition. It is going to be an extremely tough decision. Don't forget to vote!
