It's that time again, people- the results show! The competition was fierce last night as the contestants sang songs from movie soundtracks. Everyone stepped it up, but only 10 can move on. America has voted and made the difficult decision of who will stay in the competition and who is in the bottom two. One more contestant will be sent home tonight and the top 10 will be revealed!
The show kicked off with a group performance of "Save the World." It was very entertaining and everyone had a moment to stand out. I especially enjoyed the rap duet between Chris Rene and Astro. It was a great performance and it is hard to determine who from this talented group should leave.
An announcement was made that Pepsi will be having a contest via Facebook. Someone will get to choose a group number for the contestants to perform. They will get to pick everything from the song to the costumes. The winner will be chosen in two weeks, so get your ideas in now!
There was a performance from Willow Smith. She sang "Fireball." Her performance was a lot of fun and full of energy. She sets a good example for all of the young performers on the show.
Jessie J also performed. She sang "Domino." Her performance was very strong and her vocals were great. She gave her words of wisdom to the contestants after her performance.
The top 9 acts were announced. Stacey Francis, Astro, Melanie Amaro, Marcus Canty, LeRoy Bell, Rachel Crow, Josh Krajcik, Drew, and Chris Rene will all perform in the live show next week. America definitely got it right and put the strongest acts through.
The two contestants who received the least amount of votes were Stereo Hogzz and Lakoda Rayne. These groups would have to perform again tonight. It's sad to see these groups in the bottom two. They both did well last night and deserve to stay in the competition. I feel bad for Stereo Hogzz for being put in the bottom two for the second time in a row. Also, Paula is once again stuck with both her groups in the bottom and will be forced to lose another act.
Both groups put up a good fight last night, but seemed to have let the pressure get to them tonight. Lakoda Rayne sang "No Air." The vocals started off weak, but improved as the song went on. Their performance was good, but not as strong as last night.
Stereo Hogzz also gave a good performance. Their harmonies were great, but they also were much better last night. Their performance was a little dull and was not up to the level that they are usually on.
The judges made the tough final decision. L.A. and Nicole voted for Stereo Hogzz to leave. Paula had a very difficult time making a decision and came close to not even voting. In the end, she voted for Lakoda Rayne to go home. Simon was the deciding vote and he chose to send home Stereo Hozz. Although, I do not believe either of these groups gave the worst performances last night, I do think the right decision was made judging from tonight's performances.
So there you have it, we now are down to the final 10. The 10 acts that will be performing live next week are Stacey Francis, Astro, Melanie Amaro, Marcus Canty, LeRoy Bell, Rachel Crow, Josh Krajcik, Drew, Chris Rene and Lakoda Rayne.
